SEO Specialist
About The Job
- Education backgrounds: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or relevant field.
- Min years of experience: At least 2-4 years hands-on SEO technical experience including On Page, Off Page optimisation.
- Language: English, Chinese, Malay
Requirements
- Hands-on technical experience in Google Ads will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and keyword research tools.
- Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.
- Experience with website analysis using various analytics tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and local language.
- Self-disciplined and motivated as well as a team player.
- Ability to collect, track, and analyse large amounts of data.
- Experience conducting keyword research and selecting powerful keywords to drive qualified traffic is an advantage.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Execution: Help execute strategies to improve SERP rankings for specific keywords, enhance online visibility, and maximize ROI.
- Technical Oversight: Identify technical issues affecting SEO performance and
implement solutions promptly. Monitor and update ongoing SEO efforts, including keyword research, website optimization (Page Titles, URLs, Redirects, Internal Linking, Website Structures), SEO content editing, and sitemap review & maintenance. - Technical Knowledge: Understand website development, particularly SEO-friendly website building and page speed optimization, to enhance overall site performance and user experience.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with content writers and link builders to align resources with the strategic direction. Participate in client deliverables, offering actionable insights, performance trends, industry best practices, recommendations, and strategic next steps.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Utilize testing methods such as A/B testing to optimize user engagement and conversion rates.
- Client Interaction: Manage client relationships through various communication channels, including WhatsApp and in-person/online meetings.
- Performance Analysis: Track, report, and analyze data to continuously improve campaign performance using advanced tools such as Looker Studio.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SEO, search engines, and internet marketing.
Professional Competencies & Attributes
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record in strategy and execution.
● English proficiency; Chinese reading & writing skills highly valued.
● Expertise in technical, on-page, off-page, and local SEO.
● Proficiency with SEO tools (GA, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMRush) and Looker Studio.
● Knowledge of Google’s E-A-T and E-E-A-T guidelines.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
● Must have positive attitude, open minded, curious and a strong problem solver
● Must be highly goal-oriented individual and have excellent communication skills
